*RDI stands for Reference Daily
Intake
The Daily Values are standard values developed by the Food and
Drug Administration (FDA) for use on food labels. In creating the Daily Values,
the FDA first established two sets of reference values. The first set, the
Reference Daily Intakes (RDI), are for protein, vitamins, and minerals and
reflect average allowances based on the RDA.
The second set, the Daily
Reference Values (DRV), are for nutrients and food components, such as fat and
fiber, that do not have an established RDA but do have important relationships
with health.
Together, the RDI and DRV make up the Daily Values used on
food labels.

What makes Cell Shield different?
Antioxidants and free radical scavengers have been found to work
best as a team. The more well balanced the team, the better the results. The
problem is that most are sold separately, so you end up buying several
different bottles. Unfortunately, buying several bottles gets expensive, and
you wouldn't know the optimum ratios to take. This is where Cell
Shield comes in.
Cell Shield takes all the guesswork out of protecting
yourself against free radicals. It is a unique super-potent synergistic blend
of all the antioxidants and free radicals scavengers mentioned, and it supplies
the precise ratios of each of these substances your body needs.
A blind placebo-controlled study conducted by the Institute of
Nutritional Science showed that an amazing 80% of people who used Cell
Shield had an optiml free radical count, compared with only 10% of the
control group. You no longer have to spend a fortune or take handfuls of pills
to get the complete free radical protection you need.
Who says you can't live past 100?
It's your 100th birthday and the family's in town to celebrate.
It's almost time to cut the cake, but first, you want to work up an appetite by
taking your great-grandchildren for a nice long walk in the park.
If you think this sounds a little far-fetched, you're wrong!
Scientists now know that virtually everyone has the genetic potential to enjoy
good health for well over 100 years. Even more important, they've finally
isolated the chemical invader responsible for virtually all premature aging and
degenerative disease! It's called a free radical, and it can cause everything
from wrinkles to devastating killers like cancer, diabetes and heart disease.
Reducing free radical damage is your single most powerful weapon against
premature aging and chronic disease and it's easy once you know how!
How do free radicals attack you?
Free radicals are highly unstable chemical buzz-bombs that
continuously bombard the delicate membranes and genetic structures (DNA) of
your cells. This can cause your genetic code to change slightly as your cells
replicate. These changes are known as mutations and they can snowball
dangerously over time, creating more and more problems. Scientists now know
that free radical damage is at the very root of everything from wrinkles to
frightening degenerative diseases like arthritis, cancer and heart disease.
What are you doing to protect yourself?
Where do free radicals come from?
Throughout your entire lifetime - every second of every day - your
body produces huge amounts of free radicals as a by-product of your metabolism.
You produce free radicals even faster in times of stress, disease and exercise.
You also pick them up from pollutants such as cigarette smoke, exhaust fumes,
sunlight, food additives, pharmaceuticals and other pollutants. Today's
environment is an absolute cesspool of free radicals, and the situation is
getting worse every day.
How does your body defend against free radicals?
Fruits, vegetables and certain other foods provide you with an
array of nutrients that naturally prevent the formation of free radicals in the
body. These nutrients are known as antioxidants. Other nutrients protect you by
inactivating free radicals before they can do any harm. These nutrients are
called free radical scavengers. Unfortunately, studies show that today's
commercially produced fruits and vegetables no longer contain the amount of
nutrients they used to. And even if they did, our atmosphere has become so
polluted that you can no longer get enough free radical fighters from food
alone and even if you eat the recommended 5 - 9 servings of fruits and
vegetables per day.
In other words, it's now impossible to adequately protect
yourself from free radical damage unless you supplement your diet with
effective free radical-fighting nutrients. No wonder so many people suffer from
cancer, diabetes and other mystery diseases!
Which antioxidants and free radical scavengers does your body
need?
The most well known free radical fighters are
ß(beta)-carotene, vitamins C and E, and selenium. However, during recent
years several far more potent antioxidants and free radical scavengers have
been found.
Key ingredients of Cell Shield:
N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC):
N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) has been extensively researched for its
antioxidant properties, particularly in its potential to neutralize the
chemical by-products of smoking. Its ease of conversion to both extracellular
and intracellular glutathione, coupled with its stability and long half-life in
the body, makes it an economical and powerful antioxidant and an aid to the
liver, and is an important part of our cataract protocol in support of the
production and use of glutathione in the eyes.
Co-Enzyme Q10:
CoQ10 is both an oxygenating factor as well as the 'spark' in
the mitochondria production of energy. CoQ10 is also a powerful antioxidant,
protecting delicate internal structures of cells from oxidative damage and
mutation.
Because CoQ10 is ubiquitous, it is of benefit in virtually
every site of your body. CoQ10 has been influential in improved health due to
its positive affect upon everything from angina to advanced coronary disease.
It is involved in helping the body to regulate blood sugar in cases of
diabetes. Studies have shown its positive affect upon blood pressure, athletic
performance, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and cholesterol regulation.
As an antioxidant, CoQ10 is one of our most powerful weapons available to fight
the debilitating effects of asthma.
Grape Extract:
Grape extract is a powerful source of proanthocyanidins, which
have been found to neutralize a wider range of free radicals than vitamin E. It
is also thought to strengthen the circulatory system and to have a positive
effect on blood flow. Oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs) can cross the
blood-brain barrier to protect brain and spinal nerves from free radical
damage. It works with other antioxidants and enhances their effectiveness.
Quercetin:
Quercetin may be a major reason why the old adage about eating
"an apple a day" has been associated with good health. And why a daily
cup of tea is more than a comforting ritual. Quercetin, which is primarily
found in apples, onions, and black tea, is a type of flavonoid (plant pigment)
that serves as a building block for other members of the flavonoid
family.
Quercetin and other dietary flavonoids have been receiving good
health-related press in recent years, and for good reason.
Quercetin
appears to help fight a host of disorders, from asthma to cancer to heart
disease. As an antioxidant, it combats the destructive "free radical" molecules
that play a part in many diseases. Among people with high dietary intakes of
quercetin and other major flavonoids, studies show lower rates of stomach,
lung, pancreatic, and breast cancers. Quercetin inhibits the buildup of a type
of blood sugar that could otherwise lead to cataract formation in the lens of
the eye.
