Deprex™

Deprex™

Product description

Deprex™ is a scientifically advanced cerebral dietary supplement designed to provide nutritional support for moderate to severe clinical depression when under a physician's care, or possible mood imbalances, melancholy, and extended periods of simple sadness and grief, or for those going through a period of disappointment or rejection.

This dietary supplement is a potent nutritional support for allergies containing key ingredients such as St. John's Wort, Gamma-aminobutyric acid or GABA, and DL-Phenylalanine (DLPA).

Product description

The complex of natural "antidepressants" and nutrients in Deprex™ is much more powerful than one ingredient by itself because it not only supplies the precursors to these key mood-controlling neurotransmitters, but also the additional nutrients needed by the body to naturally:

  • help elevate mood by raising circulating serotonin levels and assuring proper utilization
  • help restore the appropriate production of serotonin and norepinephrine
  • help diminish anxiety by regulating cortisol release
  • help restore clear sentient thinking and appropriate reality testing
  • help calm and diminish oversensitivity

Is Deprex™ Safe To Use With Other Medications?

Deprex™ will not interfere with any prescription drug, nor is it contraindicated with the use of any other antidepressant medication. In fact, because of its nutritive value and micro-nutritional counterpart, Deprex™ may safely be used conjointly with other antidepressant medications if desired, actually enhancing the effectiveness of other drug use, as it does not interfere with, or compete against, normal neurobiochemical functioning. However, under no circumstance should this formula be recommended in lieu of professional therapeutic and medicinal intervention.

Important: A therapeutic strategy involving the use of Deprex™ with other drugs, or as a replacement strategy, is the sole discretion of a person's physician or health professional. In all cases of clinical depression, always seek a physician's guidance first; intervention without your physician's guidance is not recommended.

Important: Please note that because lithium is prepared and registered as an over-the-counter micro-nutritional in Deprex™, it will not impose a pharmacological effect on the body or brain, and is thus without the side effects and possible dangers associated with standard preparations of conventional pharmaceutical lithium salts. The lithium salts used in Deprex™ are therefore completely safe and free from any adverse side effects.

Three major neurotransmitters:

  • serotonin
  • dopamine and
  • norepinephrine

in the brain must be in balance for a balanced mood. When in an unbalanced state with each other, mood drops or depresses.

Besides all important serotonin and norepinephrine levels, researchers have found that hypothalamic disturbances in the brain, interfering with neuroendocrine activity, are also found in depression, thus requiring a more encompassing health approach to depression than St. John's Wort alone.

Unlike prescriptive antidepressant medications, Deprex™ is a non-prescriptive, all-natural alternative, providing the necessary dietary precursors which complement the body's ability to potentiate the production and release of a very important naturally occurring neurotransmitter called serotonin, which plays an important part in mood regulation, as well as increase serotonin and norepinephrine activity, while reducing cortisol secretion, without adverse side effects.

This potentiates a natural rebalancing of brain biochemistry, which in turn allows corrective perceptual processing of information and affect, insulating one stimulus from another for perceptual integrity and clarity, helping the individual to develop more constructive coping strategies, with an absence of anxiety.

How Does Deprex™ Specifically Work?

Deprex™ provides the necessary dietary precursors which complement the body's ability to effectively moderate and balance the necessary neurotransmitters within the brain, providing an all-natural calming and soothing effect without side effects. Pure and safe 5-Hydroxy-L-Tryptophan (5-HTP) is included in this formula, being the direct precursor to serotonin (5-Hydroxy-tryptamine or 5-HP).

Common antidepressant drugs work artificially to selectively enhance and mimic serotonin activity within the brain, but unfortunately are purported to cause a number of unwanted side-effects which can lead to serious long-term problems.

On the other hand, 5-HTP is completely safe and can naturally enhance serotonin levels within the body and brain without side-effects.

Good news for old L-Tryptophan users: 5-HTP is not the amino acid L-Tryptophan, yet 5-HTP is thought to be ten times more powerful in producing serotonin than L-Tryptophan. 5-HTP is one important biochemical step removed from L-Tryptophan, having an additional hydroxyl radical attached, and is only one biochemical step away from becoming serotonin.

Please note: The CDC and the Mayo Clinic cleared the role of L-Tryptophan in the EMS outbreak in 1992, having determined that the real causal factor was a contaminated batch of the amino acid produced solely by Showa Denka Corporation in Japan, and not the amino acid itself. Indeed, L-Tryptophan is still safely being used in infant feeding formulas and parenteral IV solutions, all of which are approved by the Food and Drug Administration or FDA.

Does Deprex™ work for bipolar dysfunction as well?

Deprex™ works for bipolar dysfunction. Micro-nutritional potencies of lithium carbonate and lithium bromide (derived from the naturally occurring alkali metal) have been found to be exceptionally effective for cyclothymia and bipolar disorders, restoring clear sentient thinking and appropriate reality testing, as well as mood stabilization for potentially explosive and unpredictable mood swings of severe bipolar disorders or manic depressive episodes.

Key ingredients of Deprex™:

Hypericum Perforatum :
Hypericum Perforatum (St. John's Wort) helps the body relax because of documented (1) MAO (monoamine oxidase) inhibiting properties, as well as (2) acts as a serotonin re-uptake inhibitor, increasing the amounts of circulating serotonin, and also (3) inhibits interleukin-6 (IL-6) and cortisol, which cause anxiety and depression. St. John's Wort has demonstrated clear antidepressant effects in a number of double blind studies, and is recognized in Germany (Commission E) as an herbal antidepressant often prescribed by German physicians (66 million daily prescriptions in 1994 alone).
DL-Phenylalanine:
DL-Phenylalanine (DLPA) has demonstrated superior antidepressant effects, when compared with a number of tricyclic antidepressants in double blind studies, by raising phenylethylamine (PEA) levels in the brain which increases the manufacture of Norepinephrine, and has demonstrated the ability to protect the integrity and lifespan of endorphins, important neuroproteins involved with mood and pain regulation.
L-Tyrosine:
The amine-neurotransmitter that is the direct precursor to norepinephrine, working interactively with serotonin.
L-Threonine:
Low threonine levels have been noted in chronically depressed persons at Princeton's Brain-Bio Institute, and subsequent supplementation was found to lead some patients to control of their depression.
GABA:
Gamma-aminobutyric acid or GABA is one of the major inhibitory neurotransmitters of the central nervous system, helping to relax muscle tissue and better regulate cortisol release from the adrenal cortex via Corticotropin-releasing hormone production from the hypothalamus, a problem which is known to affect 50% of all depressed individuals.
Scutellaria Laterifolia:
Scutellaria Laterifolia (Skullcap) helps to calm and relieve an overly sensitized "sensorium."
Verbena Officinalis:
An ancient herb used for to relieve continuing sadness and unhappiness.
5-HTP:
The natural immediate precursor to serotonin and melatonin, providing neurochemical balance during stress.
Amino acids:
Supported amino acids provide electromagnetic instructions to further help the body naturally regulate hypothalamic activity, balance the natural production of serotonin and norepinephrine and help restore clear sentient thinking and appropriate reality testing, as well as mood stabilization for potentially explosive and unpredictable mood swings.
Micro-nutritionals:
Specially targeted micro-nutritionals provide electromagnetic instructions to further help the body naturally regulate hypothalamic activity, balance the natural production of serotonin and norepinephrine and help restore clear sentient thinking and appropriate reality testing, as well as mood stabilization for potentially explosive and unpredictable mood swings.
