PayPal is an account-based system that lets anyone with an e-mail address securely send and receive online payments using their credit card or bank account.

With PayPal, you can send and receive payments through the Internet. Once you sign up for PayPal, you can send money to anyone with an e-mail address using the money from your PayPal balance or another funding option of your choice.

Recipients are notified by e-mail that they have received a payment.

PayPal enables any business or consumer with an e-mail address to securely, conveniently, and cost-effectively send and receive payments online. The PayPal network builds on the existing financial infrastructure of bank accounts and credit cards to create a global, real-time payment solution. PayPal delivers a product ideally suited for small businesses, online merchants, individuals and others currently underserved by traditional payment mechanisms.

PayPal, an eBay company, is the global leader in online payment solutions with more than 78 million member accounts worldwide. PayPal is used every day by eBay buyers and sellers, as well as many other online businesses. It’s available in 45 countries and six currencies: Euros, U.S. Dollars, Pounds Sterling, Australian Dollars, Canadian Dollars, and Yen.

PayPal's service, which lets users send payments for free, can be used from PCs or Web-enabled mobile phones.

EBay's acquisition of PayPal was completed on October 3, 2002, and as a result, PayPal is now integrated into the eBay platform. PayPal continues to provide service to members, who use their accounts for transactions not associated with eBay. PayPal also continues to offer credit card, debit card, and money market services.

Yes. PayPal uses SSL technology to keep your information safe. In addition, when you send a payment using PayPal, Souzao Enterprises will not receive sensitive financial information like your credit card or bank account number.

This way, you don't have to worry about paying people you don't know.

The security of your information, transactions, and money is the core of our business and our top priority at Souzao Enterprises.

PayPal automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to theirs using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available).

Before you even register or log in to the Souzao Enterprises PayPal account, the PayPal server checks that you are using an approved browser - one that uses SSL 3.0 or higher. Once this information reaches them, it resides on a server that is heavily guarded both physically and electronically.

The PayPal servers sit behind an electronic firewall and are not directly connected to the Internet, so your private information is available only to authorized computers.

What it means to be Verified

To become Verified, a PayPal member must provide PayPal with proof that he or she has opened an account at a bank or other financial institution. Because these institutions are required by law to screen account holders, PayPal's verification process increases security when you pay parties you do not know. Please note that PayPal's verification system does not constitute an endorsement of a member, nor a guarantee of a member's business practices. You should always consider other indicators when evaluating members, including length of PayPal membership and reputation scores (on eBay or other auction sites, if applicable).

Note on International buyers

Because International members cannot use the PayPal verification system, no International member can have a Verified status.
